MASQUERADE
Authenticity does not need masks
you recognize it for what it is
and it cannot be otherwise,
but it is so earnest
that it can be self-deprecating,
like a Steinberg mask
Authenticity radiates its disarming Beauty
comprised of time, work and other things
that never appear on the surface, but are felt in depth
They are the courage of challenges met
of compromises rejected
and the Uniqueness that is always a lone voice
and inside the heart
Authenticity is not self-righteous and nor is it conformist:
it is Authentic and unfiltered,
It unmasks deceptions,
It reveals the differences between the truth and falsehood,
It unveils words suited to the occasion
and yes, it goes out on a limb,
literally
